Richard is seeking the dissolution so he can marry his girlfriend and Barbara has been putting up a big fuss. She sets out all the reasons why they should not close this case but her arguments are ignored.Ĭonvinced that they have solved a probable serial killing, they focus on the disappearance of Barbara Neder, the wealthy, soon-to-be ex-wife of industrialist Richard Neder. She already has three strikes against her-she’s new, she’s an outsider from Hamburg, and, primarily, she’s a woman. An irritant to their quick over-and-out solution is the newest member of the team, Anne Bach. Stripped, bound, and possibly sexually assaulted, the police zero in on a troubled artist who lived nearby and was acquainted with the area. In the summer of 1989, the bodies of two different couples were found in the forest of lower Saxony, shot at close range with a small caliber weapon. The title is apt in more ways than just the titular forest. Written by Stefan Kolditz and directed by Sven Bohse, “Dark Woods” is based on true events. “Dark Woods,” a six part mini series premiering on the Topic streaming platform, is a fitting title. all good prep for chapter 2.Matthias Brandt as Thomas Bethge and Karoline Schuch as Anne Bach in “Dark Woods.” Photo courtesy of Topic. Experiencing HO3 will make you get good at combat & hotbar/inventory management, it helps you figure out the optimal base defence strats and how to deal with hardcore night events. You will get more quests (and looting) done during the day, you will earn more nightly rep and extract more essence (from the more efficient oven). It's more time efficient to operate from the HO that is situated in the actual biome that you are scavenging. I don't recommend staying at HO2 and running between biomes everyday, the travelling gets old real fast, it's boring to try to avoid playing the best section of the game. You have a lot of resources to repair and maintain everything. When setting up the base try not to set it up with hiding/camping in mind, set it up to allow you to move freely enough to be able to effectively deal with intruders coming from anywhere. With all of your resources stored at the HO you can set up your base defences any way you like (barricades/furniture/traps). Also, I pack a bunch of red eggs and cook them as soon as I get to HO3 so that I'm maxed out on skills/perks for the start of this section. you only really need about a third of all this stuff, all these things will ensure survival (Note: Essential items missing from screenshot incIude - Flares, I already stashed around 20 in the bench along with some scrap metal. Have all your gear delivered to HO3 by bike man (dont forget to take bell & alcohol with you). When you have gathered/collected all the resources/ammo from the first 2 biomes and levelled up all your weapons, venture out one day to establish the location of the third hideout, clear the path to it and prep it so you can move into it the following day. Use the first two areas as combat practice. Craft and build supplies with the old woods in mind. Think of the old woods as the main survival horror section of the game (or chapter at least), this is where it begins, there is plenty of action, you get to fight and use all kinds of cool survival strats.Įverything you do in the first 2 biomes is preparation for the 3rd biome.
